Company History

The company was started by Richard Smith in 1976. Richard from a farming background began growing wall flowers on a large scale growing 80 acres around 1990 extending the range to summer and spring bedding, baskets, container and carpet bedding.

He branched out into the word of Topiary 3D framed planting and has successfully grown this speciality to become one of the foremost specialist in the UK.

Life size 3D framed planting to local authorities and national events has introduced the public to the skills that his company has perfected. He has produced life size Lady Godiva for the city of Coventry and a 2 metre high beer tankard for Burton - Upon - Trent.

Today Richard (R.C.Smith Plants) and his team produce dozens of Topiary figures of different themes, with 98% of all horticultural products for public sector companies:

Due to our production scheduling from the setting of seeds through planting, hardening-off to readiness we can advise you in advance whatever information you require. We welcome on site inspections.
